Showing successfully in international dressage competition, Parcival is also very exciting for the jumper breeder. Both his sire and dam line have produced many successful Grand Prix and international jumpers, including half-brother Pavarotti (by Lancelot), currently successful in the Grand Prix ring with U.S. Team rider Todd Minikus, and Jeroen Dubbeldam’s grand prix mount Nassau, who shares Parcival’s damline (Jolanda). Half-brother Hamar (Mythens x Tamara) is a KWPN approved stallion who also jumped successfully in the United States with USET rider Laura Chapot, and has sired successful grand prix jumpers such as Blue Danube.
As a dressage horse, Parcival has had tremendous success in the FEI ring, competing undefeated at Prix St. George and Intermediaire 1 with his amateur owner in 2007, and garnering Horse of the Year honors in Adult Amateur Prix St. Georges for USDF and KWPN All-Breeds. In 2008, Parcival showed exclusively on the highly competitive Florida winter circuit, making his debut in the CDI ring and finishing in the top 20 of the horses competing in the International High Performance division to qualify for the Naional Intermediaire Championships. Parcival finished his first Florida season as Markel Amateur Winter Dressage Champion for both Prix St. Georges (avg. 69.361%) and Intermediaire 1 (avg. 69.277%), and was USDF All-Breeds Horse of the Year at Intermediaire 1, Adult Amateur, for KWPN.
Parcival and Amy Bock remain in training with Michelle Gibson in Wellington, Florida, where they have been since early 2008
